This is taught as a 6-week course, gradually building the practise:

Pranayama is the 4th limb/step of Ashtanga Yoga, after Asana, which are the physical exercises.
Pranayama comprises different breathing exercises designed to balance mental/ emotional and nervous system flows. These exercises are performed in a sitting position and can be very powerful, so are recommended to yogis and yoginis with at least 2 years of regular Asana practise behind them.
This course will enable you to have a lifetime practise of Pranayama independently, as well as understanding the purpose and effects of doing different breathing techniques.
