FLYING YOGA

Using aerial silk hammocks in wonderful ways to take your practise into the air, from the relaxing and gentle to the acrobatic- mostly great fun!

The next 6 week course will be running on

Monday evenings, 6-7pm, starting on Monday the 1st May

@ Peredur Centre for the Arts, West Hoathly Road, East Grinstead RH19 4NF

taught by Kirsten Germann who has been teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga since 1996 and has worked with Aerial Yoga for the last three years.

This course is catered for people who have some experience with 'earthly' yoga or similar practises and are comfortable with being upside down at times.

You will learn some basics of how to use the yoga hammock as an aid to do everyday yoga poses ,with a new angle on the ground and also how to perform more difficult poses, like handstands with ease. We will take the practise into the air, learn a wonderful range of inverted postures which are great to decompress the spine, back bending, balancing and more. And then there is the relaxation....

Apart from being fun, this practise is great for building strength, confidence and skill, as well as an ability to trust and relax. It can be used to take an already existing yoga practise to new heights and depths, or  simply be enjoyed by itself.
